Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the MP3 Converter iPhone app ("MP3 Converter" or "the app") handles your information. MP3 Converter is developed by Camm Studios ("we", "our", or "us") and is sold on the App Store under the seller name NATHAN A CAMMARERI.

This policy applies only to MP3 Converter. It is the complete privacy policy for this app and takes the place of our general app privacy policy for MP3 Converter.

The Short Version

• Your audio and video are converted on your iPhone. Your media is never uploaded to Camm Studios or any other server.
• There is no account, no advertising, and no tracking across apps.
• MP3 Converter does not use your location, contacts, or microphone.
• Analytics are off unless you turn them on in Settings.
• If you buy MP3 Converter Pro, Apple processes the payment and RevenueCat verifies the purchase.

1. Your Media Stays on Your Device

You choose what to convert: audio files from the Files app, or videos from Photos. MP3 Converter copies the item you choose into its own protected storage on your iPhone and converts the audio there.

• Conversion, trimming, and playback happen entirely on your device.
• Your media, converted MP3s, filenames, and text tags are never uploaded to Camm Studios or to any server.
• Your original file is not changed.
• The app's copies and the MP3s you create are excluded from iCloud and iTunes backups.
• Deleting the app deletes those copies and your converted MP3s.

If the item you choose is stored in iCloud or another cloud service, iOS may download it to your iPhone through Files or Photos so the app can copy it.

2. Saving and Sharing

When you save or share an MP3, a copy goes only to the place you choose, such as a folder in Files or another app. That copy is then handled by the location or app you picked, under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. Photos Access

MP3 Converter uses Apple's system photo picker. The app receives only the videos you select. It does not ask for permission to access your full photo library.

4. What MP3 Converter Does Not Do

• No account or sign-in
• No advertising
• No tracking across apps
• No access to your location, contacts, or microphone

We do not sell your personal information.

5. MP3 Converter Pro Purchases

MP3 Converter Pro is an optional one-time in-app purchase that unlocks batch conversion, encoding settings, presets, and text tags.

• Apple processes the payment. We never see your payment details.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) verifies and manages your purchase. It receives purchase and entitlement records, an anonymous app user ID, and the technical data needed to provide that service. RevenueCat never receives your media, filenames, or tags. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Restore Purchases restores your access to Pro. It does not restore files.

6. Optional Analytics (Off by Default)

Analytics are turned off when you install MP3 Converter. Nothing is sent unless you choose to turn analytics on in Settings.

If you turn analytics on, PostHog (posthog.com) receives anonymous events about importing, converting, and the Pro purchase flow. Each event includes only:

• The source type (Files or Photos)
• A file-count range, rather than an exact number
• The outcome, such as whether a conversion succeeded
• A fixed error category, if something went wrong
• An anonymous ID

Analytics never include your media, filenames, tags, or URLs. There is no session replay and no screen capture.

When events are sent, your IP address necessarily reaches PostHog's servers. We have turned off PostHog's location lookup (geo-enrichment) for these events. PostHog Privacy Policy

Turning analytics off in Settings stops new events from being sent. It does not erase events PostHog has already received. To ask us to delete them, email info@cammstudios.com.

7. If You Contact Us

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include in your message, and we use it to reply to you.

8. Deleting Your Data

• You can remove converted MP3s inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stores on your iPhone.
• Copies you have already saved to Files or shared with other apps are not affected.
• To request deletion of analytics data that PostHog has received, email info@cammstudios.com.

9. Children

MP3 Converter is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Privacy Rights

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You may also withdraw consent at any time, for example by turning analytics off. Contact us to exercise these rights.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Australian Users (Privacy Act 1988)

Australian users have the right to access and correct personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Contact us to make a request.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using MP3 Converter after changes are posted, the updated policy applies.
