Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the Bronzed - Tan Smart, Never Burn app ("Bronzed") developed by Camm Studios. This supplements our general Privacy Policy.

1. What Data Bronzed Stores Locally

All of the following data is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers:

• Your Fitzpatrick skin type and how your skin reacts to the sun
• Your current and goal tan shade
• Default SPF, temperature units, and vitamin D goal
• Your tanning session history (duration, UV index, SPF used, estimated vitamin D, weather conditions)
• Streaks and progress data
• Notification preferences
• Onboarding completion status

We do not have access to any of this data. It never leaves your device.

2. Location and Weather Data

With your permission, Bronzed uses your device location ("when in use") to provide accurate, local sun information. Your location is used to:

• Fetch the current UV index, temperature, and forecast from Apple WeatherKit
• Search for and display place names via Apple MapKit when you choose a custom location

Your location is processed by Apple to return weather data and is handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. Camm Studios does not store your precise location on our servers or use it for advertising. You can use the app without granting location access by entering a location manually.

3. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Bronzed schedules local reminders on your device (such as a heads-up to flip during a session, a daily check-in, and a reminder before your free trial ends). These are processed entirely by iOS and do not involve any external servers.

4. Analytics and Usage Data

Bronzed uses PostHog for analytics. The following anonymous usage events are collected to help us understand how the app is used and improve it:

• Screen views: Which screens you visit (Home, Tanning, Profile, Settings, SPF Guide, Tips, Vitamin D)
• Onboarding events: Steps viewed and completion, including the skin type, shade, and SPF you select
• Session events: Starting, pausing, completing, or ending a tanning session, with the skin type, UV index, SPF, and duration
• Settings changes: Skin type, default SPF, units, and notification preferences
• Subscription events: Paywall views, purchase starts, completions, cancellations, and restores
• App lifecycle: App installs, opens, and session data

PostHog does not receive your name, email, or precise location. Analytics data is sent to PostHog's servers in the United States.

5. Subscription Data

Your subscription is managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details.

• RevenueCat receives: an anonymous user identifier, purchase receipts, and subscription status, used to unlock premium access and restore purchases
• RevenueCat does not receive: your email, location, or session content
• Apple App Store: Processes all billing and payments directly

6. Health-Related Information

Bronzed uses your skin type and tanning history to estimate safe sun-exposure times and tailor your routine. This information is treated as described above (stored locally, with anonymous analytics) and is not sold or shared with advertisers. Bronzed is not a medical device and does not collect data through Apple Health.

7. Data Deletion

To delete all your locally stored Bronzed data, simply delete the app from your device. This permanently removes all content stored on your device.

To request deletion of analytics data held by our third-party providers (PostHog and RevenueCat), contact us at the email below and we will process your request.

8. Your Privacy Rights

European Economic Area (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You may also withdraw consent at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what data is collected, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. We do not sell your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Australian Users (Privacy Act 1988)

Australian users have the right to access and correct personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles. Contact us to make a request.
